Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants Program at Douglas College: The Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants program is funded by the BC Government to help skilled, experienced newcomer professionals find employment that utilizes their prior education and skills. This practical program provides customized support based on participants’ needs. At Douglas College, the program provides action planning, occupation-specific workshops, funding for licensing and short term training costs, and job search assistance. We support professionals from some high demand health, education, and social services occupations no matter where they live in BC, and we also support people from other occupations who are living in the Tricities and Maple Ridge areas.
